National titles

National championships: what the bodies themselves published.

Every country's national body runs its own championships under its own rules. This page lists national results only where the body itself published them and the research read them. In 2026 that is the BRCA, the UK governing body. Titles elsewhere that were reported only by trade press are named as events, not as results.

Why this page is short on results

The research for this site looked for 2026 national results published by the bodies themselves. Only the BRCA met that test: its own pages, and one BRCA press release, were read. No 2026 results page of the national bodies of Germany (DMC), Japan (JMRCA), France (FFVRC), Italy (AMSCI), Spain (AECAR) or Australia (AARCMCC) appeared in the research. Titles in those countries that trade press reported are listed further down as events, without winners, because the bodies' own results were not read. Not found does not mean those bodies publish nothing.

ROAR is IFMAR's North American bloc and also runs National Championships covering its 12 US regions and Canada; its 2026 Nationals are on ROAR Nationals 2026. The national bodies themselves are described on the BRCA and national bodies.

The BRCA (United Kingdom)

The BRCA calls itself the UK's governing body for RC car racing, covering circuit, off-road, oval, drifting, large scale and bike disciplines. Wikipedia gives its founding year as 1971. Its 2026 section rules were not read for this site.

1/8 Buggy National Championship 2026: finished

A BRCA press release, reprinted by LiveRC on 17 August 2026, gives the overall results of the 2026 1/8 (nitro) Buggy National Championship after its fifth and final round at Shrewsbury.

This rests on the BRCA's own release, as carried by LiveRC.

1/10 off-road: champions to 2025, 2026 not yet listed

The BRCA's 10th Off Road Hall of Fame lists its national champions up to 2025:

  • 2WD: Neil Cragg (2023), Tommy Hall (2024 and 2025).
  • 4WD: Tommy Hall (2023, 2024 and 2025).
  • Paul Worsley Award (2WD and 4WD combined): Tommy Hall in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
  • 2025 age groups: Under 13 Harry Saunders (2WD) and Jake Beacroft (4WD); Under 16 Charlie Saunders (2WD) and Daniel Pole (4WD); Over 40 Iain Mellish (2WD and 4WD); Over 50 Eugene Galley (2WD and 4WD).

The page lists no 2026 champions. A search summary of a BRCA calendar notice puts the first 2026 2WD round on 25 April and the first 4WD round the next day. Whether the 2026 series has finished, and who won it, was not established.

Large Scale Off-Road national series 2026

The BRCA's LSOR Nationals page lists driver briefings for eight 2026 rounds, at Nene, NWLS, North Ings, Pickering, NWN, Sussex, Slough and Nene again, and shows no 2026 results. The BRCA's section page says the national series normally runs from March to October. Whether the 2026 series is complete is not stated, so no champion is given.

1/10 Off-Road Truck National Series 2026

A search summary of a BRCA race report places round 1 at A1 Raceway, Grantham, on 2 and 3 May 2026. Standings after that round were seen only in that summary, and the season result was not found, so no names are given here.

Other BRCA national titles

The BRCA's 2026 national champions in 1/8 on-road, electric touring car and other sections were not found on BRCA pages. Trade press reported some of them; see below.

Titles reported by trade press only

These 2026 national championships were reported by Red RC or LiveRC. Because each body's own results were not read, this site does not present their winners as results. They are recorded so the titles can be checked against the bodies' results later.

ItalyModified Touring CarA LiveRC headline naming a champion, 23 September 2026
ChinaModified Touring CarA LiveRC headline naming a winner, 17 August 2026; no body named

Red RC also reported single-round winners in three 2026 national series whose overall results were not found: round 3 of the British 1:10 Electric Touring Car Championship at Halifax (30 June), round 2 of the AMSCI Italian 1:8 Onroad National Championship at Leno (28 September) and round 1 of 4 of the AECAR Spanish 1:8 Nitro Buggy National Championship (3 March). A round result is not a national title, so these are not listed as champions.

Driver names in national results are given as each source spells them. A name that also appears in international results is not said to be the same person unless a source says so.
